Sometimes there are obstacles that can get in the way of our ability to do our best as parents. These may include past experiences in our own lives, a strained relationship with our parents or siblings, experiences in our past that might have created unhealed wounds around loving and caring, worries about our own ability to be a “good” parent, or even a challenging current living situation; any one of these may adversely affect our connection with our baby and our capacity to parent. Having a loving relationship with our mothers (and our fathers) is what brings resiliency, the ability to face obstacles in life with strength and grace, and keeps us healthy. Bonding begins during pregnancy, not after. If a mother and baby have a strong bond before birth, they can be resilient to any birth experience. Doing energy work during pregnancy helps the mother clear any obstacles that may be keeping her from fully connecting with her baby, prepare her for the labor and birth experience, and encourages a soul-to-soul connection that is profound and beautiful.
